Situated along the reef-lined Kamala coast, Hyatt Regency Phuket Resort faced a unique challenge: the beachfront was not ideal for swimming. As the property underwent major renovations, it sought to redefine its identity, improve guest satisfaction, and stand out in a highly competitive market.

The Challenge

To reposition the resort while turning a natural limitation into a unique selling point, and to align the hotel’s experiences, F&B, and marketing with a refreshed brand direction.

Our Approach

Tellmysaga worked closely with the GM, Director of Marketing & Communications, and asset managers as a strategic advisor throughout the transformation. We developed the brand positioning, advised on guest experience concepts, and helped create the Marine Biological Center. This storytelling-led initiative educated guests on biodiversity through interactive classes, guided shore walks, and snorkeling activities.

Outcome

Since relaunching with a clearer brand direction and differentiated experience offering, the resort has consistently outperformed the local market in revenue and guest satisfaction — with the Marine Center now serving as a standout, story-driven touchpoint for guests.
